Rea & Associates Climbs to 28th Position in 2023’s Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms
Rea & Associates, a regional CPA and business consulting firm headquartered in New Philadelphia, Ohio, has moved up two spots to be named 28th for the 2023 ranking of The Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms, in the Construction Executive publication.
Construction Executive is a leading source for news, market developments, and business issues impacting the construction industry. Its annual ranking is based on a survey and report of hundreds of U.S. construction accounting firms. According to the publication, this ranking is compiled of data such as revenue, number of CPAs, number of construction clients in 2022, and weighing these factors in an algorithm in descending order of importance.
“Being ranked in the Top 30 construction CPA firms in the country for several years in a row is quite an honor, and affirms our efforts to grow the segment,” said Doug Houser, Regional President and Director of Construction and Real Estate Services at Rea. “This recognition acknowledges our effort and allows us to use the specialized knowledge we’ve gained for the benefit of our clients. We are certainly excited to continue our efforts on their behalf.”
The professionals at Rea specialize in providing individuals, businesses, government entities, and not-for-profit organizations with solutions to their accounting, tax, and other business-related challenges. The firm provides expertise in accounting and related advisory services, audit, benefit plan design and administration, valuation and transaction advisory services, managed IT services, and tax services.
Now in its 21st year of publication, Construction Executive is the leading trade magazine about the business of construction. In its July/August 2023 issue, CE published a comprehensive ranking of The Top 50 Construction Accounting Firms™. To determine the ranking, CE asked hundreds of US accounting firms with a construction practice to complete a survey. Data collected included: 1) 2022 revenues from construction practice; 2) number of CPAs in construction practice; 3) percentage of firm’s total revenues from construction practice; 4) number of construction clients in 2022; 5) number of office locations with a construction accounting practice; 6) number of employees with CCIFP certification; and 7) year construction accounting practice established. The ranking was determined by an algorithm that weighted these factors in descending order of importance. For more information, contact surveys@magazinexperts.com.
